Hello, my name is Jack. I was born in a small city in northern Jiangsu Province, China. After graduating from university in 2022, I began working for an internet company. In February 2025, I left that position and started building this website from a warehouse in my hometown.
From an early age, my mother often took me on trips to various cities across China. During my university years, I continued to travel whenever I could, often embarking on spontaneous journeys. Although I didn’t come from a wealthy background, I managed to explore much of China through part-time work and careful budgeting.
After leaving my job, I began thinking seriously about what I truly wanted to do. One thing stood out: I have always loved writing. That passion inspired me to create RedTravelBook.
The name RedTravelBook carries special meaning: “Red” represents China, “Travel” reflects the spirit of exploration, and “Book” symbolizes the idea of documenting and sharing experiences. My goal is for this “red travel book” to become a reliable and inspiring guide for anyone wishing to explore China—its cities, its culture, and its hidden gems.
Over the next two years, I plan to devote myself to writing and compiling the stories and places I’ve experienced throughout my travels. After that, I’ll begin looking for my next career opportunity. In the meantime, I hope this website can serve as a helpful and heartfelt resource for fellow travelers.
